Programs

Each of our programs has a core program and extended day options which helps parents meet the needs of their family’s busy schedule. In addition, we have both 10-month and summer offerings.

Just Right for Stay-at-Home Moms:
3-Day Preschool Program Now Available

Stepping Stones (2 years, 6 months to 3 years, 3 months)

2, 3 and 5-day options
This program is designed to help the first time student to develop self-esteem, independence and verbal skills. It is designed for the 2 to young 3 year old child and focuses on developing social and emotional footing, knowing that a firm foundation here will foster academic growth.

Multi-Age Classes (3 to 6 years)

3 or 5-days and half and full day options
This is the heart of our program. Children are given ample time and space to explore and work at their own pace and in their own learning style. The children work independently as well as receive lessons individually with the teacher or in small groups. Group lessons happen at each day’s meeting. The focus of the program is to support the social and emotional development of each child before moving into the other curriculum areas. Practical living skills, education of the senses, mathematics, language, science (biology, botany and experimentation), culture, history and art are all taught in a well-prepared environment designed t do encourage respect, self-discipline, and peaceful resolution of differences. Enrichment classes include movement and Spanish. The children also spend time daily in our outdoor environment, where they socialize, play and learn as well as tend the Children’s Garden.

Kindergarten (6 years)

5 full days 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM
This program requires one full year of prior Montessori experience. This is the culminating experience for the children in our school. Here, children learn to apply prior knowledge to new challenges. At the same time, they are prepared for the transition to later school expectations.

The core of this program meets from September to June.

Extended hours are available from 7 AM to 6 PM year-round as each individual family needs. Since this is a full day Montessori program, not a child care program, the children are supervised by Montessori certified teachers and Montessori trained assistants. Families may choose to extend mornings, afternoons or both ends of the day. From June to August, a summer program is in session which allows parents to have their children here for the same hours as the remainder of the year, or to adjust their schedule according to their summer plans. View more information about the summer program.
